I Don't Get Anything Out Of Mass

April 4, 2015

My response to...

I Don't Get Anything Out Of Mass

Catholic365.com article

I say to The Catholic Church what Peter said to Jesus "Lord, to whom shall we go? You have the message of eternal life, and we believe".

When Jesus came to save us many came to see but didn't believe and they walked away empty.

Those who did see and believe became his church and gathered in thanksgiving to celebrate and receive the bread of life and then they were sent forth.

Every mass is our opportunity to unite with each other, celebrate, give thanks, and receive the true presence of Christ. Then we are sent forth...to be Christ to the world.

To me, the mass is my everything...my glimpse of heaven and my salvation through Christ's sacrifice.

To those who no longer see, but yearn for Christ, I suggest spending an hour in adoration in front of the Holy Eucharist.
The gift of The Father is the true bread from heaven. Taste and see the goodness of The Lord.

Reflect on John 6:28-69.

The Catholic Church is alive in The Spirit. There are many opportunities to join small faith sharing groups, bible studies, read good Catholic books, and a good place to start is to listen to EWTN or your local Catholic radio. In central Ohio, St. Gabriel AM820.

Come back, Jesus is waiting.
